The first 20 states to respond may send a team to New Orleans!

Each State may appoint one executive chef and an assistant chef.

The winning Chef will be declared as the “King or Queen of American Seafood 2005”
Each state is responsible for all travel and all accommodations associated with the event.

About the Great American Seafood Cook Off
The Great American Seafood Cook Off will challenge 20 of our nations’ top chefs to cook a domestic seafood dish that represents their state best. The event will be held during the Gulf Coast Seafood Pavilion in New Orleans on August 6th. A panel of our nation’s distinguished chefs will judge the event and the American Culinary Federation will execute the contest.

About the Gulf Coast Seafood Pavilion
The Gulf Coast Seafood Pavilion is the first seafood trade show of its kind showcasing only domestic seafood in New Orleans August 6th – 8th. The Pavilion is part of the Louisiana Foodservice Expo which represents a partnership between the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board, the Louisiana Restaurant Association, the Mississippi Restaurant Association, the Alabama Restaurant Association, and the Louisiana Hotel And Lodging Association. The Louisiana Foodservice Expo draws an attendance of over 16,000 buyers each year. That number is expected to grow significantly this year as seafood buyers and chefs from across the country will be invited as well.
